All the products listed below are what you really need for your newborn. People always say that babies need a ton of stuff, in a honestly that is just not true. Babies only need, love, diapers, food, clothes and a place to sleep, everything else is not needed. However, certain items I consider a must have to making your life as a parent a lot easier, work smarter not harder right?

Where Should I Register?
There are a plethora of places that you can register for your baby shower. However, in my personal opinion, I would use Babylist. It’s amazing! If you haven’t heard of it, it’s one registry where you can add from many different websites. It makes things so much easier for a Mama to be, as well as your guests. Plus, if you still have your registry after baby is here, you can reuse it for something else! I’m currently putting together my daughter’s birthday wishlist on there! The possibilities are endless and I highly recommend using Babylist!
General Newborn Products

- Pacifier Clips
- Philips Avent Soothie Pacifier
- Copper Pearl Burp Cloths, so worth the money. They’re super absorbent and they never shrink, absolutely love them!! I have about 9 individual burp cloths.
- Copper Pearl Bibs, same material as the burp cloths. We actually don’t have these, but I really regret not getting them. When I was doing my baby registry, I thought they were too expensive for bibs. So I found a very similar, but cheaper alternative. The bibs we have are fine, but definitely not absorbent as the Copper Pearl ones. So do yourself a favor and get them!
- Burts Bees Socks, I have found these to be the BEST ones to stay on little feet.
- Baby Mittens, so they don’t continue to scratch their precious face
- Hello Bello Diaper Rash Cream
- Hello Bello Everything Balm
- Hello Bello Shampoo and Body wash unscented
- Baby Bum Brush, so this may seem like a gimmick, but it’s not. This makes putting diaper cream on so much easier and cleaner. Especially as my daughter gets bigger, she’s moving more. This makes me feel so much more grateful that I put this on my baby registry.
- Aden and Anais Newborn Swaddles, these are perfect! They have a zipper at the bottom for diaper changes, so your baby can stay swaddled. If your baby is anything like mine, this is a game changer, since it was so hard to swaddle her.
- Aden and Anais Muslin Swaddles
- Saline Spray, we have gone through so many bottles of these, it helps so much!
- Twister Bulb, love this so much! It gets all the boogies, it’s clear and you can take it apart to wash it.
Newborn Gear

- Graco Soothe and Sway Swing, amazing! This product is a swing and a detachable rocker all in one! I love multi use/ purpose baby items!
- Doona Car Seat and Stroller
- Stroller Fan
- Baby’s Brew Bottle Warmer
- Philips Avent Anti-Colic Bottles, they say every baby has their preference when it comes to bottles. However, in my experience, we only gave our daughter these bottles and she takes them great. She’s a breastfed baby majority of the time, but will get breastmilk in a bottle when we are in public.
- Dream on Me Karley Bassinet, I only recommend this bassinet if you have a cat or a dog that sleeps in your room with you. We have cat and she is so sweet with the bay. However, this gave me such peace of mind, so I was able to sleep at night as well. I will say with the mattress that comes with this bassinet, it has the material of outdoor furniture. It’s made to be able to go outside as well. However, if you put a sheet on it, it will bunch up. So it can be very difficult to get it flat.
- Newborn Lounger
- Silicone Changing Pad, do yourself a favor and get the silicone changing mat. Yes, they may seem more expensive upfront, but they will be cheaper in the long run. However, there will be accidents, whether you have a boy or girl. When this does happen, all you have to do is easily wipe it up. But when you have a cloth changing pad, you have to deal with taking off the sheets, throwing them in the wash, put new sheets on.
- Dreamegg Sound Machine
- Tiny Gymini Play Gym, black and white is best. Babies can only see in black in white at first, so it’s easier for them to see and focus on. It’s also simple colors/patterns, so it’s not overstimulating. My daughter used this for tummy time and still enjoys it as a 8 month old.
Mama

- Backpack Diaper Bag
- My Brest Friend Nursing Pillow
- Breast pump, if you’re able to get it FREE through your insurance. I personally recommend the Ameda Mya Joy
- Medela Hand Pump
- Munchkin Bristle Bottle Brush
- Sun Shade for the car
- Car Mirror
- Diaper Caddy in multiple rooms besides the nursery
- Fridababy Thermometer
- Crane Humidifier
- The First Years American Red Cross Healthcare
- Andar Denner Wallet, a must have! It makes life so much easier, especially as a Mama! You can have your wallet and keys in one spot! Then with the tether, just throw it on your wrist and you’re good to go! 1000% recommend!
