Need the perfect Halloween party theme, I got you covered! In today’s post, we’ll be covering everything I did for my small Hocus Pocus 2 Premiere party. This small party of 6 was definitely done on a budget. However, you can get as detailed as you would like! Personally, I would have added a plethora of ideas to this party, if I had more people coming and a bigger budget! For one example, I would hang witch hats from the ceiling using fishing wire! In my opinion, this looks so cool and I’ll definitely be using it in the future! If you need further Hocus Pocus Halloween Party ideas, I’ll be linking a board on my Pinterest! “Thank you, Max for that marvelous introduction.”

“Boooooooook!”

In the month of October, we had our little Hocus Pocus Premier party and it was so much fun! I decorated the house with our fall decor and made a couple DIY Hocus Pocus themed decor. I even put out our popcorn bucket cauldron from Walt Disney World and my Loungefly Crossbody of Winifred’s Spellbook! I even made a few deliciously spooky treats from scratch! They may not looked perfect or Pinterest worthy, however they tasted so good and that’s all that matters.
Getting Into the Spirit

Since this party was done on a $0 budget, I had to get really creative. I decided to do a cute little Hocus Pocus themed craft with my 11 month old daughter. I made edible finger paint and attempted to stamp her foot to create the witches bodies. Some of them look like feet, others not so much. Then I finished off the witches hair and broom, mop and vacuum myself to add those special Sanderson Sister touches. However, they still ended up being super cute and her great-grandparents loved it! I used the paintings as decor and then gave them as “party favors” for the family that came.
“It’s Just a Bunch of Hocus Pocus”

You can’t have a Hocus Pocus themed party without this quote, it’s one of the most famous ones! Since I couldn’t go out to purchase decor, I found this board sign that we keep in the guest room. Typically, it says “Welcome (Add Name/Names here)” But for the sake of the movie premiere, I decided to switch it up. I added this letter board, along with two little ceramic pumpkins in the kitchen. I wanted to make the main rooms with people were going to be to make it a little more festive.
Themed Treats

So I will go into more detail down below on each specific treat, but in this little section I wanted to give a general idea. So as far as our themed treats go, I made Sanderson Sister cupcakes from scratch and Spell-book brownies with apple cider. As for our main meals, we just ordered Chinese food from a local place near our house. Everything was absolutely delicious and our guests even took some treats home! You don’t have to make themed snacks for a party, but it definitely makes it more fun. Plus, your guests really appreciate your effort and attention to details. Details are so important for any party, in every area!
Sanderson Sister Cupcakes

I used a homemade vanilla cupcake recipe that I have found on Pinterest, as well as icing. I played around using the food coloring I already had, to create the unique colors I needed. these photos and the icing aren’t exactly amazing, they’re extremely mediocre. However, this was the first time I have done this and I’m not a professional. I’m just a young stay at home wife/mama learning how to make food from scratch. If you want to be a little extra like me, you can download these adorable cupcake wrappers from Monica Delmonico on Pinterest for FREE!! They’re specifically for the Sanderson Sisters!
Spell-book Brownies

For these spell-book brownies, I used Joanna Gaines homemade brownie recipe from her Volume 2 cookbook. I did everything listed in the recipe besides adding the peanut butter and I didn’t make the fudge icing. I would definitely recommend making these the day before any event and let them sit in the container you cooked them in. I wouldn’t cut them until right before the party, since they’re extremely moist. Hence why some brownies look misshaped or broken, again not a professional. Then I used some of the leftover icing I had to make the details on Winifred Sanderson’s Spell-book. Everybody LOVED these, definitely a big hit.
